Aaron Chausmer, Senior Counsel
Aaron Chausmer comes to Hecht Walker directly from his own commercial and business litigation practice, Chausmer Law, LLC, bringing 18 years of experience and a strong background in commercial and business litigation matters. His focus areas include competition-based matters, commercial and contract disputes, corporate governance and internal business affairs, strategic planning and litigation avoidance, and labor and employment matters.
Additionally, Aaron brings significant experience in litigating and drafting restrictive covenant and employment agreements. Aaron will continue to offer clients his knowledgeable support in these specific matters, while also providing Hecht Walker clients with generalized business advisory services, as needed.
An active member of the State Bar of Georgia, Aaron has aided the State Bar of Georgia by acting as a fee arbitrator, a mentor in its Transition Into Law Practice program, and as a member of the State Bar’s Law Practice Management Program Committee. He speaks frequently to both lawyers and business owners about restrictive covenants and their impact on businesses and litigating disputes involving closely held businesses. Aaron has been a featured speaker for Lorman Education Services, Strafford Publications, the Sandy Springs / Perimeter Chambers Small Business Council Educational Series, SHRM-Atlanta, and Kettering Sales & Marketing SIG, a sub-group of Kettering Executive Network, Inc.
Aaron first came to Atlanta in 1991 to attend Emory University. Upon graduation, he attended Boston University School of Law, where he was selected for the schools International Law Journal and chosen to be case and note editor, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1998.
When not practicing law, Aaron enjoys world travel (including swimming with sharks and viewing lions up close), watching soccer (only because he cannot play anymore) and spending time with his wife, Jamie and his daughter, Leah.
